In late 2018 Sigma Science received a contract from PNNL to provide Criticality Safety Program On-site Assessments. Our multidisciplinary scientific teams are brought together to address some of the most challenging and complex problems. The Nuclear Operations/Facility Safety Management and Operations (M&O) Program is tasked with supporting safe operation of PNNL nuclear facilities including the effective management of DOE criticality safety requirements and processes. SSI supports PNNL in meeting their mission.
We provide technical expertise to help:
- Evaluate the robustness of their criticality safety program
- Develop improvement plans to address any deficiencies
- Establish a means to track the extent of deployment and overall health of the program
- Participate in program discussions with PNNL leadership, DOE, and other regulators.
